Well, there was a storm and they were getting shaken around quite a bit in the air. He could have sustained the injuries before he landed the chopper.

I guess that's true, but the other 3 of them had to jump from the helicopter and none of those 3 were as badly injured as Frank...you'd think that if any of them weren't as bruised up, it'd be him because he never fell out of the sky like the rest of them.

This would explain why Seth Norris, the pilot, isn't really Seth Norris. The video fakers wouldn't know that Norris always wears his wedding band and therefore would have neglected to put one on. Frank caught their mistake and that's how he got on the mission.

The problem is no one on the island ever asks meaningful questions that give awesome answers. And when they do like Locke with "What is the black smoke monster?," they get side tracked with a little show by Ben, with no meaningful answers given.

I'm definitely thinking the whole plane underwater footage is staged for the world media/public. That gives them the cover to do all these island-related activities. Definitely specialists recruited for this mission, exact masters unknown.
